You can generate, store, and use your own Solar PV generated electricity before you consume expensive power from your energy supplier.
You can claim for any unused excess electricity you generate and export to the grid under current legislation called a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG)
No VAT is chargeable on Residential Installations
We manage the whole process for you from design, installation and certification. In most cases no planning permission is required as Solar PV Panels fall under Permitted Development Rights. However please don’t take our word for it, have a look at our testimonials for impartial feedback from our customers.
You will often see the term Solar PV quoted. This is an abbreviation of Photovoltaic. This is the technology that converts sunlight to electricity.
Sunlight captured by your solar panels is generated as DC (Direct Current) electricity which flows through an inverter which converts it to AC ( Alternating Current) electricity which operates all the electrical items in your house.
Any excess electricity you generate is not wasted, as it can be stored in a battery for usage later, reducing your demand from your current energy provider.
If you still have excess this can be automatically exported to an energy supplier a of your choice and rebated to you via Smart Export Guarantee.
The performance of solar PV systems is impossible to predict with certainty due to the variability in the amount of solar radiation (sunlight) from location to location and from year to year.
However significant savings can be made with a residential system installed. Using Government(OFGEM) provided statistics it is estimated that an average household uses 3000-4000kwH (units) of electricity per year.
With Solar Panels and a Battery Storage System it is estimated that you will use 75/80% of the electricity you generate. Without a battery storage system installed that usage will still be in the region of 25/30% of your generated power being used instantaneously.
